This is the very good news, I respect Daw Aung San Su Kyi for differentiating between 'humanitarian assistance' and 'political difference', EU and ECHO can provide 100s of million of dollars worth of assistances that can reach to the most needed poorest community of Myanmar, but they need blessing from the prominent figure like DASSK, bravo Aunty Su.. For second comment about kachin: In principle Myanmar Government was right, all assistances from external should coordinated thorugh central goverment and local government, if Myanmar Govt. did not recognized there are needs in kachin, local community based associations should come out with evidences to the local, national and international communities, and international community will pressure Myanmar Govt. to open up, Aid assistances cannot be delivered based on the assumptions, but should be based on facts and figures, the problem in kachin was the refugees are mixed with civillians, families and relatives of the KIA, and hence KIA will never disclosed their hidden locations and also the numbers officially, please think straight who will give assistances if someone come and tell them 'ohh! we have 1000 refugees at the hidden location that we cannot disclosed, and we cannot allowed anyone (including Govt.) to visit there and deliver the assistances, instead just give us the money?' Aid mechanism doesn't work like that.. If somebody really wants international community to help, they need more than that. Just Giveing the Facts.. Cheers!
