The meeting has been taken place at the White House in Rangoon (Yangon), Burma (Myanmar).
US Secretary of State Ms Hilary Clinton met with Burmese (Myanmar) National Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in Rangoon (Yangon) and Myanmar Government leader U Thein Sein in Nay Pyi Taw. Ms Clinton heard the voice of our people and knew the position of the government.
I would like to welcome this constructive engagement / interaction from US.

  1. Dear Ko ko Latt,
Please don't blame them. Like most of us, they all are the victims of our poor education system. The most important thing is for them to realize Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is not someone to compete against but the one to depend on or somebody they should associated with. Through out Khin Nyunt , Saw Maung and Than Shwe's era they fight against her. They tried to destroy her popularity and belittle her importance without any success. It is like giving a Chimpanzee the "Star of India"(Gem). For more than 2 decades the Chimpanzee tried to destroy the gem with contempt and jealousy since the ape thought that the gem is prettier than him. What a waste. Now it's about time to realize the truth and work together for the sake of the country and the whole people of Burma.

Having been in chaos for decades, this is a silver-lining for this country, actions of which have triggered this country into most-recently-deeply-centered one amidst world, politically and economically.

Chronically, its malpractices towards military abduction, all of its resources to be exploited to the military own good, as well as its repressive measure against opposition and even its own people, the country seemingly no longer resist against impact on "change," a people movement against most dictatorial rulers in the world today. What have stormed military régimé to topple in Arab World by political reformed activists have alerted military figures in Burma to their close. Now, they are getting prepared for their times – entrance for someone to come in and exit for their departure.

Despite the country rich with mineral resources such as gems, forests, and natural gas, it still can be seen far from benefit by its own people. Without transparency, top brass or high-ranking military figures derailed its revenue from the country's largest bonanza –natural gas sale – for their military build-up and their inner circles' ingurgitation alone.

Our democracy icon Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all of her colleagues is only hopeful opposition in their strife against military junta and has as much saved this country FREE from these catastrophes as set forth above. Her consistently persistent leading role plays a pivotal role in approaching to a democratically reformed one. She is like saving a dying person bitten by alligators half way from their mouth.

But we all should recognize there are others who have gotten involved in both armed and non-violent struggles. Too, we all should recognize any military incumbents whose roles contribute to this country's liberation from any turbulence and to a long-awaiting democratically reformed one by majority of people. We all should pay tribute to all of those whose beliefs, their courages, and engagements in their rally against injustice have contributed to this effect.

On our way toward achieving a democratic reformed one, we all should embrace all walks of life, even military figures, by giving them a second chance, in an approach in terms of parliamentary democracy, without leaving them in isolation. There is also something that comes parallel with isolation or divides – namely, inequality as no one should inject these traumaic pathogens into one another towards any future constructive attitude where two classes of people are left of in the country – a handful of groups extremely rich close to military and else in dire strait who also have nothing to lose but are starving.
